Back when I started my career, I took an accounting class at the local community college and found I really enjoyed double entry accounting. I ran my own Type-S corporation retail business for five years with QuickBooks Desktop and found that I really enjoyed doing my own books. The business grew to about a half million in sales before I sold it. Since earning an MBA and selling the business, I have been a teacher including teaching business at a local university.
